R10 Basic Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts

Three-Button Mouse
· Alt key + left click + drag in the Viewport to rotate. This only works in the Perspective view.
· Alt key + middle click + drag in the Viewport to pan. Works in all views.

· Put your cursor over any Viewport and single click with the middle mouse button to toggle between that view and a four-view layout.

• Alt key + right click + drag in the Viewport to zoom. Mice with scroll wheels can scroll the zoom. Works in all views.

One-Button Mouse

· Simultaneously hold down the ‘1’ key left, mouse button and drag in the Viewport to pan.

· Simultaneously hold down the ‘2’ key left, mouse button and drag in the Viewport to zoom.

• Simultaneously hold down the ‘3’ key left, mouse button and drag in the Viewport to rotate.

Function Keys

• F1-F5, will toggle Perspective, Top, Right, Front and the 4-view layouts.
• F6-F8 control animation playback.

Manipulation Tools

• E for Move
• R for Rotate
• T for Scale
• Space Bar toggles to the Selection tool

Viewports

• Shift – V = Configure
• Alt – V = Configure All

Render

• Control – R Render selected Viewport
• Shift – R Render to Picture Viewer
• Control – B Render Settings dialog box

Others

• X, Y or Z toggles on and off the Manipulation tools for that axis
• Q turns on/off the Parent HyperNURB when the child polygon mesh is selected
• V for quick menus
• P for Snap menu (R9.1)
